Eligibility criteria:

The selection criteria for the Fully Funded Scholarship in South Korea 2021 are as follows:

  • International students from around the world are equally suitable for this program.
  • All interested applicants must have excellent academic performance in their preliminary studies.
  • Applicants who are important in the Korean sciences (social sciences, humanities, and culture and arts) and who have recently made contributions to Korean studies are eligible.
  • The applicant must be able to speak and understand Korean at least at a basic level
  • For MA / PhD Candidates: Applicants should have a major or mining degree in a Korean field with a detailed dissertation proposal on a Korean topic.
  •  For candidates to be university professors, lecturers, and researchers, applicants must have attended a course in Korean or Korean and the researchers must do research on Korea.
  • For Professional Candidates: Any professional involved in Korea-related activities are eligible to apply
  • Students and alumni can also apply, but certain requirements must be met.

Is there an alternative to IELTS?

  • You can study for free and without an IELTS. If you already have a degree in English.
  • Applicants can apply for the English Language Proficiency Certificate. Students must provide an official statement or a certificate printed on the certificate that the previous education was in English.
  • There is even an alternative to IELTS, a Dongo language test accepted at over 2000 universities. In fact, the IELTS Indicator Test is a new online test that can be easily done at home.
  • Some universities offer online interviews or Skype video interviews. Once your application has been accepted, you will need to conduct an online interview about your university.
