Eligibility criteria for the Chevening Scholarship.

  • After your scholarship expires, return to your country of citizenship for at least two years.
  • Complete all the components of a bachelor's degree that will allow you to enroll in postgraduate studies at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is usually the same as an advanced 2: 1 honors degree in the UK, but it may vary depending on the degree program and university.
  • At least two years of professional experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours).
  • Apply for three different UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of them by July 15, 2022.

You are not eligible for the Chevening Scholarship if you:

  • You have UK or dual UK citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a UK overseas territory or have a BN (o) and are applying from Hong Kong).
  • Become a refugee in a non-chevening country. Applicants who are nationals of a Chevening Eligible Country and are refugees in a Chevening Eligible Country can receive the scholarship.
  • Whether an employee, former employee or relative of an employee (since July 2018) of his government (including the UK Embassy / High Commission; Department of International Development; Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) Department of International Trade Department of Defense; and home office) or an associate of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
